Default Looks great

I would definitely buy those. They have specific advantages, first they are short little bullets that will stabilize in any .172" barreL with a twist that is at least 1 in 10. Secondly, they are accurate and expand well at higher velocities.

Jackets on those are electroplated and so they are bonded to the core. When launch at recommended velocity such as from a 17Rem, or 17MIV or 17FB they expand and I have never recovered one from any animal hit with one, they fragment fully into tiny pieces.

The first squirrel I ever took was with one of those from a 17MIV with a 21" 1 in 10 twist barrel. The shot was pretty dang close, about 25 feet uphill at about a 45° with a fast load of h335 or h322 which pretty much vaporized the squirrel. I found a head stuck up in the branches of a nearby tree and a tail with fur pasted to the bark directly behind where the poor critter had been sitting. There was no bullet impact on the bark. Impact velocity was about 3800fps.

The specific disadvantage is the relatively low bc, and without that the velocities drop off rapidly to the point it is best used under 250 yards with launch velocities over 3800.

There is a less obvious and somewhat underutilized advantage which is that it makes a fine edible game bullet when launched at less than 1800fps or even at subsonic speeds because it is short and stabilizes well. Groups at 50 yards are the size of a #2 pencil eraser when launched from either my 10 twist 17MIV, or from my 17VHA. I horde these for this reason as the bullet is pinpoint accurate for squirrel or rabbit hunting in close cover.

I agree with what 17tbs had to say about the bullets.

On coyotes at reasonable calling distances inside 250 yards, they are stout enough to go through a rib bone and still get inside a coyote.

Even if you don't hit a rib on the way in, they generally fragment inside and don't do much, if any damage, when the pieces exit. The insides usually sound like a washing machine full of water if you shake the carcass.

If they hit on the point of a shoulder, you'll likely have a messy hide just like with any other small caliber bullet on coyotes.
