I have a modern Weaver 6x24 on a 22-250. The dots in the Mil Dot reticle are a little larger than optimum, but it does make a great yote rifle at dusk and dawn as the gold colored dots show up real well in low light. For how little I paid for this scope it performs very well and has very good glass. To bad they got taken out.
To me, the remaining great low priced scope that is consistently passed over are the new Redfield products. Price for performance with a great warranty from Leupold is very hard to beat. Their Binos and spotting scopes are also a heck of deal at the price. |

A few years back I bought a couple of the newer Redfield scopes marketed by Leupold, and I found them to be very serviceable rifle scopes for the money spent. Nothing extraordinary, but very serviceable........
If you've checked the Leupold web site in the past year, the Redfield line of scopes is noticeably absent from their lineup. -BCB

Redfield the company closed up years ago in Denver.
Only one Iv'e ever had and still do is a 4x widefield. Looks much like the 1950's TV's did. It's on my Sako 7mmag Finnbear. Good glass, just outdated by 50 years now.

Bayou city boy, I have bought one of the new Redfields made by Leupold a 3-9x50 which sits on the daughters Sako 17 rem. I must say I am quite happy with it so far.

BCB, that article, if the date is correct, shows 2017, by this person.
Older articles have said B&L or Leupold scopes. Again who has it correct ? |
