I am expecting my 20-220 Swift reamer this week. On both it and my 20BR I went with no lead no freebore. I know it is not considered proper, but on the 20BR I just seated the bullet deep enough to chamber and let the taper of the bullet lead it into the rifling. Shot fine with no pressure problems. Then I cut a lead with no freebore with the same results, same accuracy and same load. I am doing the same with the 20-220 Swift. You can always cut out some metal if you think you need to. Larry

Phil, I'd go zero for the 39 BK. Both my .20BR's, my .20 Dasher and my .20-250 are all zero freebore chambers and I wouldn't want any freebore for any of the bullets I use (they are all 12T's, too).
The Dasher really likes that bullet, zips it along just stupid fast too. Flattest shooting rig I own. Which, is saying something. - DAA |

Hey Dave, How ya been?????
I`ve been wanting to give you a call, but haven`t really come up with a good excuse to do so....... Hope all is well, I ordered it with zero freebore yesterday, I`m sure that`s what I had before, Dave confirmed it...... Phil. |
