And I'm starting to wonder if maybe you were the grumpy old guy we saw several times on a street corner a week or so ago complaining about "all of the people" probably not too far from where you live. Do you own a dull green rain slicker?

All I know is that so many of these laws are way more complicated/confusing than they need to be. Take brass as a perfect example. What harm can come from sending it back and forth in 'consumer quantities'. Never seen a news report involving terrorists/cartels/thugs or whatever loading their own ammo in order to create mayhem. I understand this is a very simplistic view but, many of these rules and regulations are way overboard.

Just remember these 2 important rules:

#1 NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED
#2 THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS

I think it's firearms and almost everything related control driven by the UN to limit and eventually eliminate private ownership of firearms.......the only people these laws seem to affect are the private citizen as governments still seem to trade arms to enable war.

Also like all laws and regulation they are written in such a way that most don't understand them and are open to personal interpretation by those enforcing them..........this means a lot of law abiding citizens just do a blanket "can't do that"

The only thing reloading equipment related (except powder, primers projectiles and cases) that is regulated is automatic reloading machines.

Wonder how long a couple of hundred cases would last in a AK or how long it would take that auto reloading machine to process those 200 cases......perhaps the idea is to limit the terrorist to one case and manual reloading equipment, that way they spend more time reloading than shooting..........Kiwi

Now, the silly part ITAR exempts loading presses! But then a Forester Co-Ax would make a pretty useless club, every time you tried to swing it ,it would fold up on on your hand

Most laws are written so they're confusing as hell so most folks
will get caught in some type violation if the LEO wants to be a
chicken shit about things.

Shucks, we can't even pee in the alley's here!!
I'll bet that's legal in NZ too, right?
