Default WTB RWS 5.6x50 Mag brass

Looking for some RWS 5.6x50 Mag brass rimless version. I'm hoping for some NOS brass. Huntington has some but the price is a little scary.($36/20 pcs)

Let me know what you got laying around

Thanks

S&B make that case. Might be a bit cheaper.

I don't think S&B makes the rimless, only the rimmed. I'm pretty sure RWS is the only source.

RWS was the only manufacturer that I could find that was available in the states. I can only find one or two outfits that even carry it. I knew this wasn't going to be an easy deal. But I thought I would give it a try.

I've been kicking this idea around for awhile. I wanna take the rimless 5.6 x50 mag case and turn it into a stretched 204 ruger. The 5.6 case is approx .118" longer than the 204 so my idea is to keep the shoulder angle and neck length the same as the 204 and increase the body length by approx .118".

I was hoping to gain around 2-2.5 grs by doing this and hit 3500 fps. My main goal here is to use the small bolt face and get max performance out of the 55 gr bergers. I'm fully aware I could get this out of a 20br, 20-250, etc. Just wanna do something different.

I thought if I could find some cases at a reasonable price, I would go for it. If not, I'll just move on to something else.

Not a bad idea as far as wildcats go, certainly not as exotic or expensive as many others. Too bad the 5.6x50 is not good and popular here or you would be able to find a bunch of once fired to play with. I'll keep my eyes open, maybe one of the other brass houses will make it sometime.

Default 5.6x50 brass, another solution

Check out 5.56x45 M200A1 cases that have never been crimped. See a post on this website for a visual and more info about using these cases for lengthened 223 projects:

john

Read the posting, very interesting, I didn't know you could buy blank brass like that. I'll do a little research on the brass and see where that takes me.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated
