Default OT Tractor Supply Corp collects data for BB Gun

We have a new Tractor Supply Store in our town and it is a nice one. Lots of neat stuff for people that live in suburbia. I notices an after Christmas Sale Display that had a few air rifles there. I found one that I thought might fit my smallest grandkids and it was just under $30.00. I always like having these around so that I can help these kids get started shooting. I had some other things to buy and then joined a long long line to pay for everything. When it was my turn, I was told that they needed to see my ID to buy the Pellet gun. I thought it strange but showed her my driver's license. I was taken back when she not only looked at it but put in my license number and birthday. I would have argued but it was already in the computer and there were so many people waiting. It seems to be a company policy. I WILL MAKE DARN SURE THAT I NEVER BUY ANYTHING LIKE THAT FROM THEM AGAIN.

Seems to be the way of the future. I went to cash a $4 winning lottery ticket in a nearby town where I have traded before. Lady tells me she has to see my D/L. That did not bother me. It did bother me when she SCANNED my D/L! I asked when this started. She said someone made an illegal sale and it was now required for all lottery, cigarette and alcohol sales. Needless to say, I won’t be buying anything in that town anymore. When their sales tax revenues drop by 75%-good luck with that.

It may also be part of the upcoming "real ID" requirements of the newer Homeland Security Act laws. Check out the link:

Makes you wonder if you are still living in "The Land of the Free" as we did after WW!! and Korea, does it not ? Big government is slowly, sometimes not so slow, taking over and controlling the masses. Bill K

Well, they already tell us how much water our toilet can use to flush, you cannot set the water level in most new washing machines, and they mandate we buy curly lightbulbs. Communism is already here.

Just tell them you are a democrat and you didn't need no stinkin' ID to vote. Everybody knows English starlings are way more a threat to democracy than illegal voting.

New tractor supply here too, about a mile up the street from me.
Driven by it several times, never stopped yet.
I'd protest if it was me.
Thanks for the warning, will pay attention for such things.

Look at the bright side. At least you don’t need an ID to vote!
