Roy,
What models are those? I'm still trying to figure out all the little switches during the Sako AI period. The only varmint stocks I've seen on the AI repeaters had either a straight comb or the old-style 461 varmint stock. The AI sporters that I've seen have either the old-style 461 sporter stock or a stock like the one on AlbertaAl's future rifle (my hands-down favorite Sako stock). The stocks that you have pictured look like the stocks that came out with the 491s. Just curious, robert |

They are all marked "A1"
One has a magazine and the other two are single shot.......... All three have the external adjustable trigger. |

Can someone tell me
why mine is marked "A"?
The action is marked: SAKO 22PPC A 544 I bought it in the spring of 1990 and it's a single shot adjustable target trigger. What's the dif between A and AI? Thanks.....Ken |

Thanks, Roy.
It is kind'a curious how they just let the 46-series action evolve over time. I've never seen a 46 that was identical to a 461 (dropped the magazine and moved the safety off the bolt shroud, but the 461 went through a lot of changes until someone finally decided to give it a new model number. It's probably the same case with the 'A' except, I think those were only single shots. Wasn't there a 'B' also? Too bad Sako's essentially gone. |

All of those in the picture are "A1" models. Yet two are single shot and one has a magazine. Everything else is the same.
