Default Cooper news

Email from Pickett this afternoon. More damage control? perhaps yes, perhaps no, You decide.

**************************************************

In response to the recent article highlighting Dan Cooper’s personal political donations, the board of directors, shareholders and employees of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc would like to issue the following statement.

The employees, shareholders and board of directors of Cooper Firearms of Montana do not share the personal political views of Dan Cooper.

Although we all believe everyone has a right to vote and donate as they see fit, it has become apparent that the fallout may affect more than just Mr. Cooper. It may also affect the employees and the shareholders of Cooper Firearms.

The board of directors has asked Mr. Cooper to resign as President of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc.

Daily operations will continue with the competent staff currently in place in Stevensville, MT producing the finest, most accurate rifles money can buy.

Dan Cooper has spent all of his working life producing the highest quality rifles built here in the USA. He started with nothing but the American Dream and built that into firearms company anyone would be proud of. We firmly believe Dan stands by the 2nd amendment.

We wish him all of the best in his future pursuits.

Damage control or not that's the best thing Cooper could do to remain in business if you ask me.

Default I hate losing Dan

as he had been real helpful in the past but this looks to be the best for all concerned. He will be missed.

This is a great lesson to pass on to our kids/grandkids---actions do have consequences.

Default Here's my take on things, now anyway...

If Dan Cooper is truly out of there then let's all continue to support this fine AMERICAN firearms factory. Nothing has yet changed their quality and commitment to all of us. If they go under who really benefits, not us, but scumbag ObombUS. That's just what the anti's want. So think about this before letting our emotions override our best judgment. After all, we are fighting for survival again. So please, consider the consequences here, let's all support what's left only if Dan Cooper is truly gone. But, if he's not out, then let Supply and Demand run its course. Fine rifles, fine employees, and one of the few fine gun companies left for us. So my thoughts now are to rally behind those left behind having to strive to run the factory business and cope with a stressful 'damage control mode' almost hourly and really working hard doing what's right for us. So folks, let's save one of our finest American Icons for awhile longer. DO NOT let ObombUS win, and he will if we let them!!!

What truly amazes me is that someone in his position could be so out of touch with political reality that he did what he did without foreseeing the end result. Only thing I can think is that, even as a maker of guns, he has been left leaning for a long time, or had some event happen in his life that turned him to the dark side. Unless he will be replaced by a puppet like Russia did with their president, he must be a very sad person right now. Larry

Default They might ask him to step down and he may in fact do just that, but.

They can't take away his stock shares can they? Every Cooper rifle sold will still line his pocket. It is indeed a shame to hurt the folks in the factory for something they didn't do. I guess the choice belongs to each of us. For me, I can't afford their guns anyway and wouldn't buy one now if I could. But what's right for me isn't right for everyone else.

I was in a similar but smaller situation A while ago . Walmart was building a super center outside of town. The city turn down allowing them to hook up to the city sewer being outside the city. They needed water and sewer to build.

A person from the newspaper was asking town people their thoughts. Being a store manager in town they interviewed me. I told them that I don't think the city should provide their services to a competitor that is outside the city. If they would pay city taxes like me I wouldn't mind.
They quoted me word for word in the newspaper. I had every china crap loving person in town mad at me. The owner and gen manager was pissed at me I think a employee with less time would have been fired.

Lesson learned ?
Even tho I had nothing to do with anything . Opening my mouth as a public figure and showing a side I pissed off the other side. I bet alot of people decided with their money and still don't shop my store.

In a small way I feel for Dan and wish him luck ....
