wanted valued opinions > SAKO 6PPC pic included
I've put a "HOLD" on a rifle while I decide if I want it.
Let me know what you guys think for this rifles possibilites. Is the accuracy going to be as good as a single shot heavy barrel? Is it gong to feed reliably if rebarrreld to 20PPC with the hinged magazine? This is a used SAKO AI 6PPC repeater sporter with all factory original hardware. The wood is traditional stained walnut and gloss bluing. There's no question that the condition is excellent. I've been shooting a heavy barrel 20PPC SAKO AI single shot for last 4 years and am really happy with the accuracy and perfomance. This would make another great 20PPC calibre only this time in a lighterweight repeater. |

al those were extremely limited production rifles, i have seen maybe 3 of them and own one of those. mine shoots the 60 gr bergers into a one hole group at 100 yards. it also shoots the cheap by comparison 60 gr sierra's. not as tight but still in the .2's and .3'sfeeding is flawless even with the more open sierrra's.
what are they asking if you don't mind, send me a pm if you don't want to post it on an open forum. bob

Sako Ai
Hi Bob...
I shoulda known you'd have one of these rifles. So I guess your rifle is a 1:14 twist since you're shooting light bullets. Whats it like doing trigger adjustment? My 20PPC sako has a trigger guard with a hole for access to trigger adjustment. Last edited by AlbertaAl; 11-06-2008 at 05:00 PM. Reason: more info |

$900 Canuck is a good price. If you don't take me it, I'll find a way to get it
So, yes, buy it. Personally, I'd shoot it as is until it wouldn't shoot any more. |

I have a SAKO AI repeater in 223 with the standard trigger, and it is pretty simple to adjust, similar to a Rem 700. Mine is right at 2 lbs and clean just by turning screws.

I've got a Sako A in 22PPC varmint single shot that I purchased in the spring of 1990. Here's the trigger adjustment if you need it.
