Default OT Question for 7mm 08 owners

I have a Rem 700 7 08 I want to load 100gr. Sierra's for. Here in NJ our chuck guns have to shoot 100gr. or smaller. It has a 9 twist and I was wondering if this small a bullet would be worth a try. It will give my .17 and .22's a rest.

My opinion, fast twist 223's often shoot the lighter bullets quite well, so in a 7-08 it will likely be worth the try, with the caveat of every gun being different.
