Cascade Arms
I remember reading about these in Small Caliber News, and always thought they were a nice looking rifle and if I ever came across a left hand one at a reasonable price I'd own it.
While browsing GunsAmerica I came across a right had one, looking at the price I guess they are well and truly out of my price range if this one is anything to go by. http://www.gunsamerica.com/946007796...223-ACKLEY.htm Were Cascade made by Kimber or did they just use a Kimber action?? Kiwi |

They are currently pricey as they have appreciated sharply in the last approx 10+ years. Here is one for sale at a local shop in DE. Beautiful rifle. Butch Weyan worked for Kimber of Oregon before their demise. To my knowledge, Cascade Arms is a one man operation building a very limited number of rifles.

Cascade was a one person company
I think his name is/was Butch. Tom Thomas, the Outdoorsman, whose business burned down some years ago sold most of the Cascade guns. The best person to ask about this would be Todd Kindler, who was tight with Tom for a long time. He had a friend that ordered a Cascade through Tom.

If I were interested in a Cascade I'd pick up the phone and call Butch. I've had him do some Kimber restoration work in the past and he's really a good guy to do business with. I believe he acquired the remaining mod. 84 receivers upon the demise of Kimber which is the basis of the rifles he is now producing.

Cascade Arms
Another person who talks with Butch Weyand on a regular basis has been Kevin Harrington. It might be easier to reach Kevin. Kevin helped me when I was thinking about a Cascade in .17 Ackley Hornet and another in .22 Mink. Kevin provided the ammo for Butch to use in chambering/sighting in the rifle. The internal magazine works with the rimmed cartridges with no problems. Each rifle took 1-1.5 years. I supplied the stock blanks. Butch does excellent work. His wife did the checkering. Prior to this I bought a .17 Squirrel from Tom Thomas then traded it for another Cascade. Both rifles were the smaller Alpine Cubs. I really like the Cascade V.E.X. (Varmint Extreme) that fits me much better.

Cascade Arms....
I have one (Excelsior Cub) in .17 Bulberry Carbine. It is beautiful. I supplied the wood and barrel (Lothar Walther). Butch does highest quality work and is a really nice guy. I highly recommend their product. None finer, 'specially for the price.
