Default Lillie finally got to shoot her Christmas present

With deer season coming on fast, and school back in, I'm limited in time having Lillie here. We should have been practicing all summer, my fault.

Today we took her out back to shoot her new deer rifle I had DocEd build for Christmas. It's Remington Model 7 in 7TCU with a Wilson barrel and had dipped in Muddy Girl camo. I put a lot of thought into this and think it is the PERFECT youth rifle. She never shot anything but 22 CB's so never even heard the bang before, but she wasn't at all afraid and really enjoyed shooting it. She was unphased by the noise and recoil.

Here's her group at about 35 yards. Not bad for the first time and only 8 years old. All I did was coach her. She moved the gun and got on target herself.

Glad to see a young person getting a proper start, looks like Lillie is a good shot right from the getgo! Congratulations to you both. Of course we will need a picture of her deer.

Just what we need, more competition against those necco wafers! ! Good job on bringing her along with good coaching. Yes, we need trophy pictures later. Tom.
