Thank you for all the post guys!
Mine are Berger. Must be a sign that I need to work on a load for the 30-06 with the Barnes TSX I bought

I assume you all consider N120 unsuited to the 25s. I loaded a few at about 9.5gr from memory, not tested them on paper but they have killed an odd crow.

I do have a pot of H322 doing nothing, I bought it for an in build 6PPC, it came with loads worked up using N133 and I have never needed any other powder for it shooting as it does.

12.4 seems load of choice so I guess start high 10s low 11s.

Have no experiences w n120 nor any data to work with.

As for H322 Hodgdon list 12.0 grains as a starting load ranging up to a 12.8 grain compressed load. the 12.8 grain load is only listed at 36,000PSI. Seems if you are able to work up a load in the 17 Hornady Hornet with H322 you may expect some great brass life.

On the other hand - I fear at that with the lower pressure, powder fouling may be to be expected. Anyone have any comments or experience to share with H322 and 25 grain pills from the 17 Hornet?

In the 17AH I've shot 680, 1680, 2200, and VV120. Accuracy with 2200 was the same .3" from 11.7 to 12.2 gr.......that was fireforming and I believe the bullet was a 23gr Hammett. The gun is a T/C with 20" Bullberry.

Default 17 HH powder

I use 2200 because I can't get Lil Gun. Lil Gun in my #25 Savage 17 HH is super, 2200 as accurate not as fast with 20 grain Zmax, with a 25 grain Vmax 2200 was best , 205 Federal primer used in all . sgtg out

My testing so far has indicated that VV N-120 is best in the 17 Hornet for 20gr bullets, but ADI AR2207 (sold as Hodgdon H4198 in the US) is better for the 25gr.

I tried ADI AR 2219 (Hodgdon H322) but only achieved fairly modest velocities... nothing like what the ADI load data table details
(Measured with a Magnetospeed V1 right at the muzzle...)

My longtime 17AH load with 1680 powder shoots 20's at about 3680. But VV120 is just awesome in this little cartridge.....most accurate velocity is about 3825, that was a surprise.
