Danny, the adjustment you described is exactly the way the old Unertl scopes work also. Some of the newer scopes of several makers don't have a lock ring on the AO. Must just be the way things were done back then.

Ken,
These springs are, or used to be (as sicero states) found in the "Schrader Valves" (tire inflation) valves of your car and some or most bicycle/motorcycle tires.

Leopold Scopes, Forester reloading equipment and Victorianox knives.

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle.

Adjust the set to not work. Polish the sear. Now you are in business.
Need help. Write me. Kenny
I tried the valve stem spring. It did not really work for me. It got the regular pull to down below 1-1/2 lbs. Once I saw that it did not pick up my 1-1/2 lb. weight, or even come close to it, I stopped further checks. My set function is set at perhaps 6-8 oz., so that setting was not needed, and the tire valve spring does not properly fit the trigger. The spring has much smaller dimensions. What I need is a spring with the dimensions (O.D. and length) of the original, but with smaller wire diameter that would yield trigger pull weights from 1 lb. to near 2 lbs. Searches have not found a spring with dimensions close enough to the original to work, and I assume that is why you find no CZ 527 spring on Ernie the Gunsmith's site. Perhaps I will have to learn to make my own one day.
