Default Which Vihtavuori powder for a 221 fireball?

Does anyone load any of the Vihtavuori powders in their 221 fireball? The powder manufacturer doesn't list any load data for the cartridge, but I'm guessing that 120 or 130 would be in the proper burn rate for bullets ranging between 40 and 50 grains.

Try N-130; it and R-7 were favorites in my cooper FB, good luck.

Ric,

Did the N-130 burn cleaner than Reloader 7?

Both 120 and 130 burn cleaner than most other powders. Just checked my data and like Dan's rifle, I too used 120 at times but best accuracy was using 130 with 40 grain nosler BT bullets.

If you have the different powders try them all as the FB is one of the gun god's gift to shooter's who demand accuracy from their guns. The Cooper FB's I've had the pleasure to shoot, really shot well!

Dan and Ric,

Thank you for the information about the Vihtavuori powders. I have 110, 133, and 135 and I was looking for the best one for the 221 fireball.
