Default 20 br

I'm having a 20br made now, finally decided on a twist rate. Can any of you with 20brs give some load data with velocity for the 40 v-max,39 sierra and 50 bergers? Any help would be great. Thanks

Default 20BR Loading info

I will assume you have your case forming down pat!
I use only use V V N135 powder, I started off with 31grs. and got a crono reading of 4127fps. with a 39gr. sierra an thought, "hmm", that seems a little HOT so I backed off .3ths of a grain for a 30.7gr. groups were good around
.260 . I tried the 40 grain V-Max and they were OK? Also tried the Nos. 40gr.
and they were tad better than the V-Max. Something I should mention is that I measured loaded rounds neck diameter and the Nos. 40 grainers were
.0003ths bigger?
I was trying to get the best load and decided to bump the load of V V n135 to 30.8 and got a group (with 39gr, Sierra's) of .141 I thought that was good enough! Forgot to add that 30.8 of 39gr. Sierra's ave. was 4060fps.

Best to ya
Jack

omj,AlbertaAl: thanks for the data and info. thats the kind of info im looking for, actual date and experience with loads.

omj, I have done a lot of wildcat forming and loading just nothing this small. I already have a 243 STW, .257RUM, 6.5 RUM, 6mm-300 WSM, and 6.5 WSM. I have already got my dies and bushings from Todd Kindler at the woodchuck den.

Dittohead,Mulerider, Thanks for the links, I have already seen them and just looking for actual experiences with loads and bullets that work good.

I might should add that my barrel will be a Pac-Nor 3 groove with 10 twist and 27". It should be able to shoot the 50's and 40's just fine
Thanks
