Default thanks for the explanation

I'm really not well versed in photography but am learning a little. Was recently at the DU convention and a photographer gave a presentation on wildlife photography that I found very interesting.

thanks for sharing and educating.

My wife is a professional photographer, and as Dave mentioned, she shoots everything in RAW format to allow for complete control over the photo editing. Anything else limits edit capabilities in certain ways that result from less than perfect ambient conditions and resulting camera capabilities.

There is an art to what a good photographer captures, like Dave has done, that I do not have even after sleeping with a photographer for over 40 years. I could shoot over my wife's or Dave's shoulder at the same subject and they get a portrait and I get a picture that generally is pretty "raw". Every once in awhile I get a photo of something that my wife labels as being "pretty good" as she gently pats me on the shoulder and moves on.

Tremendous job, Dave..... Great clarity as always. Your photos are always interesting and creatively unusual in content, coupled with great photographic technique, which is what makes them so enjoyable to view.
