Default Prairie Dog Paradice

In 2 hours my Dad and I are west bound and down to Colorado. I have my Cooper Jackson 17AH, Cooper Varminter 17 AB, Cooper MTV 20 VarTarg, Stiller/PacNor 20 BR and Browning Micro Medallion 22 Hornet loaded in van. I am pumped up and ready to shoot. Unfortunately I have lost another ranch where I have shot PDs for 10 years. Thankfully I have acquired 2 new areas about 40 miles from my lost ranch.
I will take some pics and post results when I return. This is a warm up trip for my June 16th trip. I am only going for 2.5 days this trip.
I am excited to try out my new rifles. The 17 AB was with me last trip but the other four are blood free under my ownership.

Default Hope you have a great time and...

Hope you new spots work out too. I will be going out to Nebraska for prairie dogs in mid June. I have been working hard to wrap up the reloading. One thing I am finding out with my new wildcats that is 20VT, 17-222 and 20 Practical that the added reloading steps are adding to the time to get rounds loaded. Its not that bad but once rounds are fire formed the reloading process will be easier.

I live in Colorado, are you guys heading for eastern Colorado near the Kansas line or north toward Wyoming?

Best of luck, let us know how it went.

What's interesting is that in northern CO where I live ranchers are begging you to come out and shoot PDs. We don't have to pay to shoot like the eastern CO ranchers.

Sunday Some of us are heading to a ranch in the Laramie WY area to shoot them.

I have several places that I could go to every day, in fact if I don't get there for more than a week, they call.

One other note, the area you're going to has feral hogs and ranchers are charging to let you on their property to shoot them. So this gives you another option for hunting.

Good Shooting
Dave
