To All,
Well call me crazy but I am at it again. I am going to try to extend my last shot by 25 yards. I can get at least another 25 yards distance if I shoot from the back of the firing line at Bunter. This will stretch it out to a grant total of 1050 yards. I have the milkjug all ready to go. Looks like the first opportunity will be twards the end of the month. Will keep all posted.

To change the subject what do you think about a 6mmX300WSM for a 500 to 1000 yd gun a 95 gr 6MM Berger is perty good if I could get 3600 fps. Art

Art,
My opinion is that there are much better cartridge out there for long range work. What you will experience is that bullet jackets will come apart once the throat starts to get a little rough. Barrel life will not be too long with this cartridge. If you must shoot a 6mm why not go with a 6rem improved. The 6/300 will give a little higher velocity but at the expense of a lot more powder.

My suggestion would be a 6.5 caliber. The bullet has better bc and there are lots of good 6.5mm bullets on the market. Cartridge selection would be a 6.5x350mag (6.5 Rem mag) or a 6.5 x284. Use a 30" barrel and shoot it at 3000-3100FPS. You should get about 1200-1500 rounds of good accuracy. If you want to call and discuss my number is 919-847-1514 est till 11pm
Corbin
