Had taken this gun on our prarie dog shoot in June and was very happy with it. Ran about 700 rounds through it on the trip. Shot my best groups yet with it this weekend in less than ideal
conditions.

My favorite load of 22.0 grains of Vit N135 with a 25 grain Starke produced two five shot groups of less than .45".

Second favarite load of 23.2 grains Varget with a 25 grain Berger resulted in two five shot groups of under .6".

Makes me wonder if I want to give it the treatment of floating the barrel, bedding the action, and trigger work this winter. I think I will yet though.

I also think I'm going to put a chrony on my Christimas list this year. I'd like to see what this 26" barrel is doing. What do you guys reccommend?

excellent results indeed. Tinker if you must, but I doubt that the critters will tell the difference in accuracy. As for chronographs, I have a new in box chrony that I will sell you. I bought 2 of them for testing the down range velocities, but never got around to it. Drop me an e-mail if you are interested. I use a similar model but this one is one of the basic units with no remote readout.

Glad to see that you are having such good results with the Starkes as well - Corbin is gonna test some 30 grain Starkes for the ultimate accuracy in his bench gun.
