I have one coming also, for my brother-in-law from Bullberry. I also have a 10" contender barrel in this caliber and love it. It is a very efficient little round that can push a 20 grain bullet to 3200 fps out of a 10" barrel during fireforming. Out of a carbine length barrel the hornet is just shy of the ackley bee or hebee and should push the 20 grain bullet at around 3800 fps. That will make for a very flat shooting varmint rifle. I have heard of some folks using the hornet on coyotes. Brass is cheap, dies affordable, and the little round is something. |

Speaking of 17 Hornet, have you annealed that brass yet? |
