I have just recieved a barrel for my Contender in 17 hornet. What is a good load for squirrel hunting? I will also be fireforming cases and my use them for squirel hunting. Thanks Scott |

Absolutely use your fireforming loads for hunting. If yours is anything like my hornet, it will shoot fantastic with the fireform loads. I can't recall my exact fireforming load and will have to check my notes to be sure. I have used both 1680 and 4227 for fireforming and had great accuracy with both. I use a 20 grain STarke with my hornet and plan on using it on squirrels as well. |
