H4198, n133, and H322 are proven performers in this case. I have heard of some having good success with the accurate arms 2200 data powder. I hope to try some with it as well. The barrel that I was tinkering with appreciated the H4198 the best followed by the n133. |

I've tried all of the above, and settled on Benchmark as my fave due to it's excellent accuracy and high loading ratio. It meters very well too. Dan C |

can you give me a starting load with Benchmark with 20 and 25gr. bullets ??? thats one powder i havn't tryed. Thanks Rod |

Rod, using Berger 25's, I'd start at around 18.5 grains. My current working load is 19.2 gr. for around 3830 fps. I haven't shot any 20 grain bullets, my Cooper doesn't care for the Hornady 20. However, 19.9 gr. of Benchmark with Kindler 23's averaged 4050 fps with excellent accuracy. I'd probably start at around 19.0 with the 20's........ Dan C |

Thanks Dan, I haven't heard of anybody using it yet, but the burn rate is very similar to all of the other favorites. What load are you using with the Benchmark? I'll have to give some a try. |
