payday it is just a doubled ended die that has #1 and#2 stamped on each end. I want to get one myself to start making my own 17 rem, and I already have the doubled ended die to make 17M4 and it works real nice. They cost around $25 from bulberry. Thanks.

I have some written description of what it is from Dick Saunder's. The price from Bullberry is good considering the amount of new forming dies for one wildcat alone.

Anyway here it is:
If you have a lathe, make a double ended die. First thread a piece of stock 7/8 - 14 to fit in the head of your press. One end of this die should have a .228 - .230 hole in it about 1/2" deep. The other end of the die should have a hole .208 - .210. Both ends should be polished and chamferred at 32 degrees.

I have one that I made using threaded rod and it works great. I polished the one that I got from bullberry because I am anal about my stuff and wanted it to be silky smooth.

Drop me a line if you have any questions. You can see a picture of one of these dies in my "It's a Hebee" article. Not a very good picture, but will give you the idea.

Sounds simple enough to make, but if Fred can make it for $25, I can't compete with that.....I would seriously advise ordering one from them. I have a lot of stuff going on right now, am planning on expanding the business and have started new runs of bullets to boot.

payday you guys got me to thinking and I called fred at bullberry, and he said I could use my doubled ended bullberry 17M4 die to make 17 rem. out of .223 brass. So, I tried it on a couple of .223, and it makes em into nice little 17 Rem. brass you have to run them thru a 17 rem. FL die last operation. Anyway, I just thought I would let you know that I now have a form die for 17 Rem, too.

you can use them to neck down anything and don't have to buy forming dies for each caliber. I have used mine for .17 hornet, mach IV, hebee, and .17 jet.
