Hey jim , That's what us fur hunters need, remington to make the 17 g core lokt bullets again. I think I'm gonna send them an e-mail, I know it won't do any good , but what the heck. I have never seen them before, are they the same as standard core lokt ammo, soft point flat base copper jacket type? Man o man , That would be the ticket. see ya

They are copper jacketed but they aren't exactly a hollow point. THey have an indent in the front of them but they are copper even in the front indentation. They have 4 score marks in the jacket for expansion reasons. I have never shot these bullets before and will have to try them on something. I am going out tomorrow deer hunting tomorrow and will probably switch over to the .17 in the afternoon for foxes. Last time out, a fox came at me and a friend which he shot with his deer rifle and ruined the pelt. A 30-06 on a fox doesn't leave behind much. I'll shoot a fox with these old factory loads and report on the results as soon as I can find a willing suject for the experiment.

Jim, they are actually a hollow point of sorts but the jackets were plated on. They're fairly accurate and come abart violently on impact. Rem made them available seperately some time ago and you may still find some. Dick Saunders may know where.
