Hunter, it's an excellent little cartridge, and the CZ is a perfect platform for it. Mine is built on a Browning Micro with a Pac-Nor #2 barrel. Last time out to the range, 3 5-shot groups averaged .420", pushing the 27 gr. bullet to 3750 fps. You should see what it does to PD's. Don't let anybody talk you out of it because "you only have one source of bullets". Calhoon isn't going anywhere......Live a little! BTW, last time I talked to James, he had a CZ in the shop for sale, ready to go. Mail me if you need anything else. Dan C

Looks like you are fond of the hornet case. I really like my .17 Hornet. Sounds like you have your .19 Calhoon shooting great. Pretty impressive. I have to admit to being one of those wary about James being the only source of supplies, dies, information, etc. With accuracy that good, it wouldn't take much to convince me. I would love to see some of the targets.

It must seem that way! Yeah, I DO have a thing for the Hornet-based cartridges. You get ridiculous performance with such a small amount of powder. I can sort of understand peoples reluctance to try the 19's. But the 20's are practically in the same boat. If you want one of Kindlers babies, he has exclusive rights to sell the dies. And the only *readily* available bullet is the Hornady, with Bergers available sporadically. A couple of custom makers punch out 20 cal bullets, but it can take forever to get them. Calhoon makes a nice selection of 5 different weight 19's, and keeps them on the shelf ready to ship. It's a viable alternative.....He is also working on a poly-tipped bullet for the 19's. He's in it for the long haul. This target is the honest-to-God first group fired with my 19 Calhoon after forming cases. It has shot many more as good and better since. Dan C
